However, every once in a while NASA does do something really cool, and I am compelled to give due credit.  Recently the &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Reconnaissance_Orbiter"&gt;Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter&lt;/a&gt; started sending back pictures of Mars, including a spectacular shot of Victoria Crater, alongside which the &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opportunity_rover"&gt;Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity&lt;/a&gt; currently sits.  The &lt;a href="http://hiroc.lpl.arizona.edu/images/TRA/TRA_000873_1780/TRA_000873_1780_RGBcolor.browse.jpg"&gt;image file&lt;/a&gt; is huge - 2048 by 15178 pixels, nearly 27 megabytes - so I took that file and created a short video zooming in on Opportunity.
